The number of confiscated golf umbrellas yesterday...

On a more light hearted note I couldn't believe the number of umbrellas confiscated.
I got there a couple of minutes after kick off so there was virtually no one else at the turnstiles and the stewards must have had at 50 golf umbrellas that they had taken off people. As I was going in the head steward was coming out with another armful and giving the kids on the door a bollocking for letting people in with them.
Any one on here have one taken off them? Did you get them back? Or are the stewards going to be knocking them out for a couple of quid down the market?

Always left mine in the pub and collected it afterwards.
Enjoyed listening to the bird at work though who's boyfriend is a season ticket holder and takes clients to all the games in the most expensive seats in the house.
All 4 of them left the ground soaked due to the top class roof.

They just said on TalkSport that a disabled fan in a wheelchair had their umbrella taken off them on Saturday.
Perhaps they are afraid of a bit of modern day jousting taking place on the party decks!!

Saw a bloke at the J turnstyles argueing with a steward who wouldn't let him in with his big fuck off golf brolly. Steward was saying it was because it had a metal tip and could be used as a weapon
